The development of a vaccine against COVID-19 presents an important breakthrough in protecting others as well as oneself form the virus; a virus which has not only caused a global pandemic and led to a huge loss of life but has also placed a great burden on healthcare workers and systems.

My dear friends, we are entering into the time of Great Lent, the forty-day period during which the Church invites us to prepare ourselves properly for Easter...  what are some of the things that we can do to prepare ourselves for Holy Pascha?

The Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, has become for us a particular occasion for celebration as from the 4th July 2020... places of worship will be allowed to open their doors to public services...

In my letter of 11 December 2020, I made the statement that, “As soon as the vaccine becomes available for me, I will, without hesitation, take part in the immunisation program...” [and] two days ago I received an invitation to register for the COVID-19 vaccination and I accepted it. 

I hope to be able to offer you all the spiritual encouragement you need and advice on how to continue to keep God and his church at the centre of our lives...

This year, Pope Francis has chosen the theme “Forced Like Jesus Christ to Flee” and is asking us to focus on the pastoral care of internally displaced persons.
